1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information when you use Bible with Pastor.

This U.S. version is structured to align with generally applicable U.S. expectations, including federal consumer protection standards (FTC principles), COPPA considerations, and applicable U.S. state privacy law frameworks.

3. Information we process

On-device information: preferences, reading progress, recent passages, and anonymous technical app ID.

Network-related information: update-check technical requests, and for Pastor Chat (when enabled) message content/context processed only to generate a response in the current session, plus technical metadata.

Important: Pastor Chat message texts and request history are not stored.

Not requested in current version: account registration by name/phone/email, contacts, geolocation, camera, microphone, advertising SDKs.

4. Why we process information

• Provide core app functionality.
• Provide Pastor Chat when you explicitly enable remote mode.
• Maintain security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
• Support app updates and user support requests.

5. Legal basis and compliance position

• Consent where applicable.

Information may be disclosed to service providers supporting infrastructure and response generation, only as required to provide requested features and operate the service. Service providers are subject to contractual and security restrictions.

8. International transfers

Processing may involve servers outside your state or country. We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards.

9. Retention

On-device data remains until you remove it. Pastor Chat message texts and request history are not stored. Technical metadata/logs are retained only as needed for security, abuse prevention, and operations, then deleted or de-identified unless law requires otherwise.

10. U.S. privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, and obtain a copy of certain personal information, and to opt out of certain processing in cases provided by law.

If required by applicable state law, we provide non-discrimination for exercising rights and allow appeals for denied requests.

11. Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13 for personal data collection. If you believe a child submitted data without appropriate consent, contact us for review and remediation.

12. Security

We apply reasonable safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure.
