Bible with Elara app icon A trust page for pastors and churches

We are Pasha and Sergey

We build Bible with Elara as a personal project with responsibility for meaning. Our mission is to help people understand Scripture in simple and respectful language.

Mission in one paragraph

We want Scripture to be accessible, understandable, and relevant to everyday Christian life.

If you are a pastor, ministry leader, or theologian and want to discuss the project, we are open to dialogue.

Why we do this

We kept seeing the same struggle: people want to read the Bible regularly, but they get tired quickly, feel lost in difficult passages, or end up alone with their questions.

So we build an app with a calm reading rhythm and a careful way to talk through hard places — in a way that brings you back to the text of Scripture, not to the “magic of technology”.

Our mission

Accessibility

Make it easy to open and read the Bible daily.

Clarity

Explain complex passages in simple and respectful language.

Back to the text

Help people see meaning and keep reading Scripture itself.

Why the service is free

We intentionally keep the service accessible without payment. We do not want Bible understanding to become “paid access to spiritual support”.

If the funding model ever changes, we will communicate it openly and in advance.

Ethical AI: clear boundaries

Elara is an AI helper inside the app. We aim for real usefulness while staying within boundaries that matter for Christian conscience and church life.

Not God, not a pastorElara is not a spiritual authority and does not replace the Church, pastoral care, or discipleship.
Respect for boundariesWe avoid pressure and “all-knowing” tone, and we do not ask for personal details.
Not trained on the BibleIn our product, the AI does not “learn from the Bible” or generate new teaching. We use it as a helper within our editorial principles and responsibility.
Helps understand the textThe goal is a clear explanation that leads people back to Scripture and to lived Christian practice.

In crisis, trauma, or unsafe situations, real pastoral care and professional help matter more than an AI conversation.

Who it fits (and what it is not)

Good fit if

  • you want a steady daily Bible reading rhythm;
  • you need careful, plain-language help with hard passages;
  • you want a calm app without ads and noise.

Not a replacement for

  • pastoral care, discipleship, and church life;
  • confession and soul care;
  • personal responsibility before God and Scripture.
